Jon Bates (BEng [Hons])

Senior Consultant

Specialises in: Computing, Software, Instrumentation & Control, Signal Processing, Electronics.

Graduated from the University of Aston in Birmingham in 1994 with an honours degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.

Prior to joining Scitek Consultants, Jon worked in the research and development laboratories of a major UK power systems company where he was responsible for developing novel NDE techniques and applications based primarily on Acoustic Emission and Low-Frequency Ultrasound. Additionally, he developed equipment for condition monitoring applications and designed and developed System Control And Data Acquisition systems for the complex research rigs of the department. During this time he developed his expertise in signal processing, data acquisition and control systems, software development (particularly C++ and LabVIEW) and embedded systems.

He joined SCITEK Consultants Ltd in April 2002 specialising in the control systems, instrumentation and software side of the business.

Jon is a Certified LabVIEW Developer.
